14th release in the series, this is a blend of two Kentucky straight bourbon whiskeys matured an additional 88 days in Spanish Oloroso sherry barrels. More specifically, it’s a blend of 6 and 12-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon whiskeys with mash bills of 78% corn, 10% rye, and 12 % malted barley for the 6-year and 74% corn, 18% rye, and 8% malted barley for the 12-year.
The sherry barrels were originally used in Spain to age Oloroso sherry, a fortified wine known for its sweet and nutty characteristics. Four Gate made 1,757 bottles of Old Sherry Pike at its natural cask strength, 118.9 proof.
